Hopefully you will start feeling more confident about your skills as a housewife and you will start looking and the cleaning duties as more of an excitement, rather than a burden.
As you probably know already, cleaning is a rather unpleasant task for most people. That’s why it should be approached as any other hard work – with a goal in mind and an arsenal of methods and techniques to save time and efforts. Do not take on a cleaning which you are not prepared for. Also, do not forget that the less the dirtiness is, the easier it is to clean it. Think about what type of cleaning you are about to do is it an everyday cleaning or a complete scrub-up; are you going to clean the whole house at once or one room at a time; what will you begin with and where will you end; what will you need – items, products, etc. and keep them by your side at all time; give every family member a task so that you are not in each other’s way. The job will be much easier if you are dressed appropriately. A wide apron with a lot of pockets is recommended so that you have a place to hang brushes, rags, small tools and small pieces of trash along the way. You will be surprised how much mileage you will save yourself from not having to go to the other room to get a brush or a spray. Get used to wearing rubber gloves. They will not only save your hands from getting in touch with toxins, but it will also take you less time to fix your nails afterwards. If you enjoy music, do not forget to play some while cleaning. As it did with the ancient Romans, music will help you do more without getting tired.
